But what now? The Minnesota Timberwolves superstar is one of the best and even plays in the same room as Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry.
Edwards made 5 of 8 three-pointers and scored 26 points in the Wolves’ blowout victory over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.
This is the 41st game since the start of the 2024-25 season that Edwards has made at least five three-pointers.
Those 41 such games tie Curry for the most in the NBA during that span, according to Timberwolves PR.

The improvement in Edwards’ shooting is impressive.
Here are his career three-point field goal averages for each season, in chronological order:

Efficiency has improved despite more attempts over the past two years. In the 2024-25 season, Edwards’ three-point shooting rate was 39.5%, which was the highest shooting rate of his career. This season, his shooting percentage is even higher, reaching 40.7%.
At this rate, it won’t be long before Edwards is hitting a few triples again.
