Washington, D.C., prepares today to host next year’s much-anticipated, expanded Soccer World Cup draw, which will feature a dazzling spectacle of musical talent and celebrity presenters.
The event will feature performances from global stars including Andrea Bocelli, Nicole Scherzinger and Robbie Williams.

The World Cup will be held next summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with England and Scotland among the 48 countries to play group stage opponents.
Supermodel Heidi Klum and comedian Kevin Hart add a touch of Hollywood glamor Top Gun: Maverick Actor Danny Ramirez will moderate at the renowned John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Krum, who previously participated in the 2006 tournament draw in her native Germany, echoed her enthusiasm, saying: “Having played this event in my home country 20 years ago, it is truly extraordinary to be hosting the final draw again.”

Ramirez also shared his enthusiasm, emphasizing his personal connections to both host countries. “As someone who grew up playing football, it’s a dream to co-chair the draw and meet and speak with World Cup legends at such a high-profile event,” he said.
The actor continued, “With this event coming to the United States, where I was born, and Mexico, where some of my roots are, it makes it even more special – I’m so excited to be a part of this show.”

In addition to the presenters, the musical line-up also promises more entertainment. Maestro Bocelli, former Pussycat Doll Scherzinger and “Angel” singer Williams are all scheduled to perform.

Following the draw, iconic band Village People will perform their classic hit “YMCA.”
Millions of viewers are expected to tune in to the event, which will be broadcast live on FIFA’s official website and BBC One at 5pm on Friday, giving people a first look at the structure of the expanded global football event.
