With just five days left until the NFL Draft, NFL teams are making some last-second moves that could change the entire landscape of the tournament. Just today, the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals completed a blockbuster trade that is sure to impact the first round.
While its impact on the Tennessee Titans remains unknown, it could give the Giants some ammunition to move up and acquire a prospect they like. Unfortunately, that will be a mystery until the draft begins, but that didn’t stop NFL.com’s Mike Bender from releasing his second mock of the season, and he linked the Titans to a familiar name.
Pick 4 – Tennessee Titans – Jeremiah Love – Notre Dame – RB
With Cam Ward entering his second year and Brian Daboll now shaping the offense, Tennessee could make a case for prioritizing the most explosive weapon on the board over more traditional needs. Love gives the Titans the home run element they currently lack. He has explosiveness, contact balance and value in the passing game, becoming an offensive multiplier that changes the math for young quarterbacks.
Although Sonny Styles appears to have momentum, most mock drafts have the Titans selecting Love when the commissioner takes the podium in Pittsburgh on Thursday. Love is an explosive weapon whose dynamic skill set is a real three-down game-changer, and will be a key part of building around Cam Ward.
