One of Chelsea’s senior players, Marc Cucurella, attempted to run straight into the tunnel at full-time last night.
He had just featured in Chelsea’s most recent defeat, a 1-0 loss to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, their fourth in the league.

The left-back has been involved in a lot of drama at the club recently, with him publicly saying the project wasn’t good enough and mentioning he would join Barcelona if they came calling.
He’s supposed to be one of the leaders of this young team and an experienced player, but after they were beaten again last night he just wanted to run straight down the tunnel. This team is a true sign of the times.

Cucurella was told to come back

Journalist Kieran Gill, who was watching the game live, posted on X last night:
“I didn’t mention it in the article, but Marc Cucurella tried to rush down the tunnel after full-time, only to be told to turn around by Willy Issa. Cucurella has two years left on his contract this summer. Unless Chelsea convince him to renew, he may end up being sold.”
