Several of “WWE NXT’s” top stars were backstage at “WWE SmackDown” on Friday night, which will air live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. According to PWIsider Elite, these stars include Oba Femi, Trick Williams and Sol Ruca.
The outlet did not confirm why the former NXT Champion and former Women’s North American Champion attended the show ahead of Saturday’s “NXT” Deadline Premium Live event, which will take place at the Boeing Center in San Antonio, Texas. However, John Cena announced that the December 13 Saturday Night Main Event will be his last match and will also showcase “NXT” talent against major stars. However, there were no initial reports that Fermi, Williams, and Rucka were brought in to set up angles or matches for the Washington, D.C., show.

Cena previously announced the contestants for the men’s and women’s matches of Iron Survivor on Deadline, which included Ruca on the women’s side. Williams was defeated by Myles Bone and lost his chance to compete. Femi will compete against NXT Champion Ricky Saints for a chance to become a two-time developmental brand gold medalist.
“The Never Seen 17” has always maintained that “NXT” talent should be showcased in his final match. “NXT” star Jayvon Evans also had a chance to compete to become Cena’s ultimate opponent, but lost to GUNTHER in the first round of the “Last Time is Now” tournament.
