Netflix star ‘Liver King’ picks up where he left off in rant about Joe Rogan after charges dropped for alleged terroristic threats

Disgraced internet celebrity and former Netflix star Brian “Liver King” Johnson has resumed his online rant against Joe Rogan, just weeks after charges were quietly dropped against him for allegedly making terrorist threats against the popular podcaster.

Johnson, 48, was released from jail on $20,000 bail and ordered to wear an ankle monitor, and the charges were dropped on Nov. 12, court records show. new york post reported on Friday. The charge was reportedly dismissed after he completed a series of required counseling sessions.

Johnson has since posted three videos on Instagram — one on Nov. 25 and two on Nov. 26 — again targeting Rogan, making the same comments he made before his arrest in June. He allegedly traveled to Rogan’s hometown of Austin, Texas, and posted shocking videos of himself trying to fight the owner with what appeared to be two guns.

In three recent videos, Johnson has used photos of Rogen and actor Seth Rogen to illustrate apparent conversations between them.

In the video, Johnson rants about family and money struggles. “They’re not a threat. Challenge. Fight. Come on, drama king,” Johnson also said. “That’s what’s going on. Still challenging Joe Rogan to a fight. You can’t run away forever. You eventually have to say something.”

Johnson rose to fame on social media for his extreme “ancestral lifestyle,” which included eating raw organs, strenuous workouts and biohacking procedures. He has 2.9 million followers on Instagram and 6.1 million on TikTok, and co-founded Ancestral Supplements, which sells dried offal and supplements such as beef liver capsules and bone marrow.

The influencer’s anger toward Rogen appears to date back to a scandal in 2022, when Johnson rose to online notoriety after he was revealed to have used steroids after claiming his physique came from a raw-meat “carnivore” diet.

Rogan addressed the controversy on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the No. 1 podcast worldwide on major platforms including Spotify and Apple. But police records say the podcaster was surprised by Johnson’s recent behavior because the two had never had any real contact.

In the days leading up to his arrest in June on a misdemeanor terroristic threat charge, Johnson posted a series of videos on Instagram in which he rants about fighting Rogan, giving himself a “coffee enema” and appearing to mutter to himself.

Rogan, who was aware of the clips, told police Johnson seemed “very unstable” and needed help. After his arrest, Johnson was ordered to stay away from Rogan, but it’s unclear whether that restriction is still in effect.
