Jake Paul is true to his word in his latest boxing match. Paul (12-2) was tasked with facing one of the best heavyweight boxers in the world, losing to Anthony Joshua by sixth-round knockout last Friday in Miami on Netflix.
Despite the brutal nature of Paul’s game, which left him with a broken jaw, the usual speculation about Paul’s game continues to run rampant online. Since Joshua is far superior to the boxer in terms of skill and experience, many critics and doubters have claimed this fight as a solution on the grounds that Joshua should have won earlier and more easily.

Since 2020, accusations of fixed fights, no matter how unfounded or comical, have been a consistent theme in Paul’s boxing career. Speaking on Uncrown’s “Ariel Helwani Show” on Monday, MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian once again made it clear that there was nothing hoaxy about the game and revealed that legal action will once again be taken against those who have made other accusations.
“Our attorneys are aggressively pursuing a number of people,” Bidarian told The Untitled three days after Joshua’s fight. “A guy who claimed to be a lawyer online. I can’t remember the name or account, but it had like 200,000 likes. Basically, the article said ‘AJ’ had a deal not to eliminate Jake, but ‘AJ’ ignored the agreement and decided to reduce his payday, but eliminate Jake Paul. So it’s pretty surprising what people are saying.”
While Bidarian didn’t name specific names, he did mention boxing promoter Lou DiBella. After the fight, DiBella posted a series of posts on social media expressing his doubts about the Joshua fight. What especially caught Bidarian’s attention was DiBella’s carelessness about whether he would be sued for claiming the fight was a fix. “This is bad for boxing,” DiBella signed the post.

Bidarian did not clarify whether he was taking legal action against DiBella.
“Lou DiBella, I’ve seen him come up with a bunch of ridiculous things and even say, ‘Nakisa, go sue me, but that’s not a real fight. [Joshua] He didn’t give it his all,” Bidarian said.
The 28-year-old Paul’s level of play has taken a huge leap compared to Joshua’s last fight. Not only his skills, but also his size, Paul’s last game was against 39-year-old Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Paul defeated the latter by unanimous decision.
One of the most common claims from critics since Friday’s fight is that Joshua deliberately waited until the sixth round to finish Paul, thus theoretically making Paul look better in defeat.

Bidarion still couldn’t understand this, especially when his warriors had suffered the injuries he had suffered.
“Nothing like this has ever been talked about in Jake Paul’s career. [thing]anything to do with fighting is not really fighting. It’s exactly like any real fight. It’s exactly the same as the Anthony Joshua fight,” Bidarian said.
“It’s unbelievable that people would think that. Anthony Joshua has gone on record saying it would be disappointing if he didn’t beat him in the first round, it would be a defeat. As we get closer to fight night, obviously, after the fight, the narrative changes and I understand why. But they were very determined and it would take at most two rounds to knock Jake Paul out.”

Friday’s loss was only the second blemish on Paul’s boxing career, his first.
Joshua, meanwhile, has bounced back from a tough loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024 and appears to have gained new star power in the US with an appearance on Netflix.
