Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has revealed some of the upcoming features of its much-anticipated Activa electric scooter. The brand’s latest teaser reveals the upcoming electric scooter’s interchangeable batteries and other key features. The company has confirmed that the Honda Activa electric scooter will be officially launched on November 27, 2024.
Honda Activa E will come with dual replaceable batteries
Honda has released a new teaser on its official social media, revealing some new hints of the upcoming vehicle. According to the tweet, the electric scooter will come with two battery packs. The teaser further shows that the scooter will come with swappable batteries that can utilize Honda’s power bank interchangeable batteries. Interestingly, HMSI showcased its Benly e electric scooter at the Bharat Mobiltiy Expo 2024, which used a similar battery configuration, so it is expected that the upcoming Activa E will also adopt this configuration.

The brand also recently released another teaser revealing that it will come with at least two trims. The base model will come with a basic TFT display panel, while the higher-spec models will come with a multi-color screen interface. The advanced display unit will display basic information including battery charge status, available range, current speed and selected riding mode.
Honda Activa E expected features and specifications
According to reports, the electric scooter has an estimated cruising range of 104 kilometers in standard riding mode. The brand may also add a sport mode option to increase power output. The powertrain configuration may also include a motor unit mounted on a swing arm, similar to the architecture of other electric scooters in this market. This arrangement is designed to optimize weight distribution and handling characteristics.
The battery pack is removable for quick replacement at a charging station. Apart from this, later versions are also reported to feature route navigation and music playback controls. The car may also come with LED lighting elements, which may come standard on both models. HMSI has yet to announce pricing details, but market speculation suggests the product has a competitive position in the space.
