Cincinnati Bearcats’ next coach might be just down the road | Letter

University of Cincinnati men’s basketball head coach Wes Miller’s days in Clifton are numbered. UC missed another NCAA Tournament season (unless they win the conference tournament, which is unlikely). Bearcats fans are waiting for their next coach.

Cal should seriously consider Miami Ohio State men’s basketball head coach Travis Steele. Of course, he failed with Xavier. But doesn’t America believe in the redemption story? The Miami Redhawks are the hottest men’s basketball team in the country.

Steele’s roster in Miami is a mix of local talent and quality players. If a top national championship coach can’t be hired, Steele would be a perfect fit at Cal. Steele will bring with him his squad and the ability to recruit players locally, regionally and internationally.
