A body has been discovered during a search for Alexander Key, the partner of Mick Jagger’s granddaughter Assisi Jackson.
According to media reports shared by Devon and Cornwall Police, police and the British Coast Guard were alerted after a man’s body was found in the sea in the coastal town of Bude, Cornwall, England, at around 6:30 pm local time on Saturday, January 31.
Authorities said the body has not been formally identified but they believe it is that of Key, 37, who was initially reported missing on Jan. 24.
His death is not being treated as suspicious at this time, according to the release.
The authority added, “Mr Key’s family would like to thank the police and HM Coastguard for their efforts, as well as all those who assisted in locating him. They ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Devon and Cornwall Police and representatives for Mick Jagger did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Key, a professional chef, initially disappeared in Boscastle, a village on the Cornish coast, according to previous police statements. According to the BBC, he has two children with Jackson, 33, Hello! and Cornish Live.

Officials said that while it was initially believed Key was last seen at a bar at 2:20pm on Friday, January 23, additional footage has revealed more details about his movements.
Devon and Cornwall Police
Police said CCTV images showed Key walking past The Wellington, a pub on the Old Road, towards Boscastle Harbour, close to the River Valency, at 3.25pm on Saturday, January 24.
In their initial statement, police said they were “increasingly concerned” for Key’s safety.
In an effort to seek help, Jackson’s mother, Jade Jagger, posted about Key’s disappearance on Instagram on Monday, January 26.

Key and Jackson have reportedly been together since 2010 Hello!. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2014 and a second daughter in 2019, the outlet reported.
