Washington Wizards star Trae Young exited their game against the Golden State Warriors early Monday night with a leg injury.
Midway through the third quarter, Young collided with Warriors guard Will Richard while trying to break a screen at Capital One Arena and was whistled for an offensive foul after knocking Richard over. When the referee called the foul, Young immediately began limping, visibly shocked.

He played one more game on the court, still in significant pain, before he was eventually removed from the game. He limped off the field, returned to the locker room, and never came back.
The Wizards quickly ruled out Young’s injury, calling it a right quadriceps contusion. Further details of his injuries were not immediately known.
Young made 7 of 10 shots and scored a team-high 21 points. He also added five assists and two rebounds. Monday night was only Young’s fourth game with the Wizards. He was traded there by the Atlanta Hawks at the deadline earlier this month.
