Wisconsin trounces Washington for twelfth conference win of season

The Wisconsin Badgers (20-9, 12-6 Big Ten) defeated the Washington Huskies 90-73 on Saturday in Seattle, Washington.

Transfer guard Braeden Carrington scored 32 points, including nine 3-pointers, as the Badgers led 36-21 at halftime and never looked back. Washington led by as many as 28 points that night but only committed five turnovers.

In addition to Carrington’s scoring streak, guard Nick Boyd scored 22 points on 11 field goals. The San Diego State transfer posted nine rebounds, five rebounds and two steals in 32 total minutes of action.

Boyd has been Wisconsin’s leading scorer all season, scoring eight times in Wisconsin’s first 14 games to ignite the Badgers’ offensive attack. Boyd scored 14 of his 22 points in the first half, with help from Carrington and senior Nolan Winter, helping the Badgers lead by 15 at halftime.
