The New York Lottery said a local business in Elmira sold a third-place ticket in the Powerball drawing on Saturday, Feb. 21.
The winning ticket, valued at $50,000, was purchased at the Ayra Foods & Beverages store located at 502 Broadway in Elmira.
The winning ticket picked up in Elmira wasn’t the only February 21 Powerball winner in New York state. The Nor-Cross service station in White Rock also sold a winning ticket worth $50,000.
The Powerball jackpot continues to climb ahead of the drawing on Saturday, February 21, with an estimated $190 million, including a cash option of $88.5 million.
Winning the Powerball third prize requires matching four of the five white ball numbers, plus the red Powerball.
