Team Canada couldn’t have gotten off to a better start at the Olympics, with the men’s hockey favorites sweeping the Czech Republic 5-0 in their opener.

Canada had five different players score on Thursday, including MacLean Celebrini and Nathan MacKinnon, joining NHL players in the Olympics for the first time since 2014. With the Czech Republic being Canada’s biggest rival in Group A, this performance is bad news for the rest of the group.
However, Switzerland also got off to a strong start at the Olympics with a 4-0 victory over France, putting the team in a potentially disadvantageous position. Timo Meyer scored twice for Switzerland in that game, while goalkeeper Leonardo Genoni made 27 saves.
