call. It was a great play call that allowed the Atlanta Falcons defense to bite the Taysom Hill fake pitch, freeing up Tyler Shough to score his first points for the New Orleans Saints in Week 18. Shaw was running around the other end of the formation with only one guy to beat: Falcons first-round edge rusher Jalon Walker, his fellow rookie.
Shaw walked into the end zone unscathed and scored six points. He evaded a leaping tackle from Walker and crossed the goal line to make a difficult game look almost random. Although he ended up gaining just one yard, he actually circled half the field around traffic. Not bad, Rook.
It was Shaw’s third touchdown this year. Maybe the 2026 Saints can let him use his legs in more situations.
