Moses Moody has missed the Golden State Warriors’ past nine games. The talented guard is having a career year on Steve Kerr’s team, averaging career highs in points (11.9), rebounds (3.3) and assists (1.6) while also posting a career-best 3-point shooting percentage (40.2% on 6.2 attempts per night). The Warriors have certainly felt his absence during their recent injury spell.
Fortunately for the Warriors, Moody appears to be making solid progress in his recovery from injury. The fifth-year shooting guard is increasing his intensity on the court during practice and is scheduled to be reevaluated by medical staff on Tuesday, March 24, according to a team statement.

“Golden State Warriors guard Moses Moody was re-evaluated today after suffering a sprained right wrist on March 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers and missing the past nine (9) games,” the statement read. “The re-evaluation indicates Moody is making good progress. He has increased his on-court work (shooting drills, etc.) and will be integrated into practice over the next few days. He will be re-evaluated again on Tuesday.”
A key factor in Moody’s success this season has been his positional versatility. This season he has played shooting guard (accounting for 18% of total playing time), small forward (accounting for 61% of total playing time) and power forward (accounting for 21% of total playing time), providing head coach Steve Kerr with a variety of lineup combinations and options.
Moody will play a key role in Cole’s rotation between now and the end of the season. His scoring and assisting playmaking abilities could be key in the playoffs. Therefore, fans should be excited for his early return from injury.
