Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold has called Fede Valverde “the most underrated player on the planet” after the Uruguayan’s performance in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Manchester City.
Valverde produced the best performance of his career against the English side, scoring a hat-trick while making numerous defensive interventions at the other end to ensure the home side went into the second leg with a three-goal advantage.

Talking about the player’s ability, Trent said: “Federe Valverde is the most underrated player on the planet. He never lets us down, he is always there. There are no words to describe him. Even when I was at Liverpool, I admired him.”
When asked about his expectations for Real Madrid and his mentality facing his opponents in this game, Trent gave a very interesting answer.
He said: “When there is so much hype about a game, playing for Real Madrid, there are no excuses. We have to win, we have to win the game. No matter who is in front of us.
“A lot of people expected us to take a big hit tonight, but we showed our mentality. Regardless of injuries, this game means a lot to the club and the fans. We executed the game plan perfectly.”
