It has now been confirmed there will be a bus parade through the town, followed by an event in Christchurch Park.
Ipswich Borough Council said it would be an opportunity for players, supporters and residents to “come together and celebrate”.
Specific details on the timing of the event have not yet been announced, but tens of thousands of people are expected to attend.
It is expected to be similar to when the Blues gain promotion to the Premier League in May 2024.
That day, jubilant players drank beers and boarded a double-decker bus with Ipswich boxer Fabio Wardley.
Ecstatic fans packed the sidewalks and followed the bus as it lumbered through town.
