Well, it’s finally time to accept it! Yes, Conor McGregor skipped As expected.
Leading the UFC White House card will be a main event showdown between the MMA superstar and UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, who hopes to unify the belt with fan-favorite interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje. Boxing fans might have been more interested in seeing a lightweight showdown between Topriya and Paddy Pimblett than Gaethje, but “Highlight” put in a solid performance at UFC 324 last January, winning interim gold ( Highlights here) and his place on the White House lawn.
The co-main event will be an interim heavyweight title fight between former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and former UFC interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane. Many are expecting Pereira to take on UFC legend Jon Jones. One of the biggest competitions in the sportbut I guess the deal won’t work out. An interim title fight between Pereira and Gunn remains a solid consolation prize, especially since “Poatan” still has a chance to become the first UFC fighter to win titles in three different weight classes.
Unsurprisingly, the UFC White House card will be deeper than this. Check out the official lineup below and let us know what you think of the card being billed as “the greatest of all time.”
