Titans to interview Robert Saleh in-person Monday

San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh will travel to Nashville on Monday to interview for the Tennessee Titans head coaching position. They plan to conduct a virtual interview with him tonight. The 49ers lost to the Seattle Seahawks last night and Saleh was able to come in for the interview in person.

Adam Schefter said Robert Saleh is one of at least three finalists for the position. The other two people on Schefter’s list include Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy and Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. Najib is scheduled to be interviewed on Monday morning. Hafley is scheduled to arrive Tuesday.

Saleh has been one of my favorites since Brian Callahan was fired in October. He has the ability to bring a very good staff because he and Kyle Shanahan spent a lot of time in San Francisco. One person who could be on that list is former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel. The Titans interviewed McDaniel as head coach, but he was clearly not on their list of people they wanted to talk to again. McDaniel has many options for the OC job.

The Titans will likely name their next head coach by the middle of this week.
