DALLAS (AP) — Klay Thompson scored all 23 of his points in the first half, including his 17,000th career point, and six players scored in double figures as the Mavericks beat the Jazz 138-120 on Saturday night as Dallas completed a two-game sweep of the Jazz.
Dallas and Utah have played three times in 10 days. On January 8, Utah State won 114-112 at home. Dallas won 144-122 on Thursday.

The Mavericks were without Cooper Flagg (left ankle sprain) for the second straight game, the first time he’s been out due to injury in his rookie season. Dallas was also without Anthony Davis (finger) and Kyrie Irving (knee) as well as forward P.J. Washington due to personal reasons.
The rest of the Mavericks proved to be more than adequate for the second straight game against the Jazz.
Thompson came off the bench and hit two 3-pointers and then hit a turnaround jumper with less than five minutes left in the first quarter to reach the 17,000-point mark. He hit 7 of 12 shots from the field and 6 of 11 from 3-point range, leading the Mavericks in scoring for the second straight game without Flagg after posting a season-high 26 points in Thursday’s victory.
Brandon Williams and Max Christie each scored 22 points, Najib Marshall added 16 points, Jaden Hardy added 12 points and Dwight Powell added 10 points for the Mavericks, who entered Saturday’s game with just two wins in their last five games.
