Former Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit has called on the club to now move on and achieve more consistency and stability.
As we all know, Chelsea under the new owner regularly changes managers, replaces players and signs new players in almost every transfer window.

This has led to a lot of criticism of the project and the way things are run under new ownership, but this type of movement has become very common in modern football and, let’s be honest, under Roman Abramovich at Chelsea as well.
Abramovich used to do this so that he could win all the major trophies on a regular basis, just like he did during his time as Blues boss. But so far, the new ownership has not fully delivered on that front, despite the success of winning the Club World Cup.

Emmanuel Petit believes the unpredictable way the club is run means long-term success is far from guaranteed. “Can Liam Roniol win the Premier League with Chelsea? They change players every year. So consistency and stability are very important if you want to win something,” he said via Ignition Casino.
“You have to stick with your players, have a vision and stick to it. Even if you go through a dark tunnel, you have to stick to it. You have to believe in it. You have to send a message to the dressing room that no matter what happens on the pitch, even if we get a bad result, we stick to our idea. Liverpool did it and they won the trophy. Manchester City did it and they won the trophy. Arsenal have been doing it for years and are not far away from winning it. We will see at the end of the season.”
Don’t believe Ronniol will stay
Petit also warned Ronnie Orr that he is only “three or four” negative results away from being sacked, such is the nature of the Chelsea beast.

“Look at Manchester United, look at Tottenham, look at Chelsea, all these clubs,” the Frenchman continued. “They have changed players and coaches so many times. And then suddenly you want them to win the title? You ask me if Liam Roniol has what it takes to win the title with Chelsea? I’m not sure if he will be the manager in 10 months. If he performs poorly three or four times in a row, I wouldn’t be surprised if the board sacks him.”
