Niles, sick. – A special education high school in Chicago’s northwest suburbs canceled classes Friday after strong winds blew off the roof of the building.

Walsh Academy, 6935 West Touhy Ave., reported that part of its roof was blown off in the high winds.

The school said in a statement that it was closed “due to damage caused by the weather” and that “the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.”
No injuries were reported.
