Heading into the 2026 NFL offseason, the Cleveland Browns have some clear targets on the free agent and trade markets.

While wide receivers are needed, the bigger need by far is the offensive line. The entire line is hitting free agency. The Browns need to completely rebuild the OL.
For Bleacher Reports Alex Ballentine, the Browns’ offseason so far can be summed up in one word: “rebuilding.” That word was exactly what the Browns wanted to hear, as their offseason moves accomplished exactly what they set out to do: rebuild the OL.
Browns welcomed with description of offseason ‘rebuilding’
“Cleveland Browns: Rebuilding,” Ballentine wrote. “The offensive line needed fresh blood, and the Browns got it. Acquiring three capable starters on a limited budget was no easy task, but Andrew Berry managed to do it after Titus Howard, Zion Johnson and Elgton Jenkins arrived in Cleveland.”

Just one week into the offseason, the Browns have already filled three starting spots on their offensive line.
Zion Johnson signed for $49.5 million, which may be a bit much, but it could be a good deal for a starting left guard who can play better than he did with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Cleveland also signed a new center, Elgton Jenkins, agreeing to a two-year, $24 million contract. This is a very reasonable contract for Jenkins, who was waived by the Green Bay Packers this offseason.

The biggest move they made was trading right tackle Titus Howard from the Houston Texans. They sent a 2026 fifth-round pick and then agreed to an extension, making his new contract worth $63 million over the next three years.
The Browns added a starting-caliber right guard to the roster with the signing of Tevin Jenkins. Davande Jones is currently scheduled to start at left tackle, but if the Browns want to upgrade, they have some good options with the sixth pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
They did lose Devin Bush to the Chicago Bears this offseason, but they responded by signing Quincy Williams to a two-year deal to join the linebacker room.
Overall, the Browns have accomplished what they needed to do in Week 1 of the offseason: rebuild their offensive line. Along with some other nice additions, this is a great start to the offseason for the Browns.
