Solana (SOL) DeFi platform Drift investigates suspicious activity, tells users to halt deposits

Solana-based decentralized finance (DeFi) platform Drift said it is investigating “unusual activity” on its protocol, raising concerns that the platform may have been exploited.

The warning sparked speculation across the cryptocurrency community, with some users reporting unusual behavior related to their posts.

Helius CEO Mert Mumtaz added to this concern in another X post, writing: “Not 100% sure yet, but it seems likely that drift could be exploited.” Helius is a critical infrastructure provider on Solana, providing API and node services that developers and platforms use to access blockchain data.

If confirmed, the vulnerability could impact user funds and put pressure on the Solana DeFi ecosystem, which has seen renewed growth in recent months.
