seattle – Wind gusts late Friday night and early Saturday morning knocked down some trees, causing some to lose power. Wind speeds were as high as about 60 mph in some places. The winds did die down throughout the day Saturday but will pick up again next week.
Gusty winds were observed Friday night and Saturday morning.
Another disturbance will be accompanied by another round of showers on Sunday. Some moderate downpours possible. Snowfall amounts are expected to be higher in Stevens and Snoqualmie than in the Pass.
A weak disturbance will bring rain to the area on Sunday.
The atmospheric river will arrive on Monday, with a few days of moderate to heavy rain and light winds expected across much of our region.
A strong atmospheric river will arrive on Monday bringing heavy rain and gusty winds.
Rainfall totals will range from 2 to 6 inches, with individual amounts approaching 10 inches. In addition to the coastal flood warning, a flood watch will be in effect from Sunday evening until the end of next week. Flooding is expected and area rivers and streams are being monitored. Be sure to slow down on the road as well, as there will be a lot of standing water to deal with while driving.
