Luis Alaes, in a different era, would have been offered a huge contract.

After all, he is a three-time batting champion.
But the San Diego Padres free agent didn’t do much other than make contact and single. So in this era, things are different.
However, there is one ballpark where it would be fun to see Araz: Coors Field.
So maybe he should sign with the Colorado Rockies.
That’s what MLB.com’s Andrew Simon calls a “perfect fit” in a new article.
“We all want to see this, right?” Simon wrote. “Coors Field is by far the best singles ballpark in baseball. (For doubles, it’s almost the best, too.) And Arrez is the singles master. It will be entertaining to see how 81 games there translate. The Rockies could use some in 2025 A player who has struck out more than anyone on the team outside of the Angels every year, and Arez does that better than anyone, while Colorado’s new-look front office really needs to focus on building the next good Rockies team — and Arez likely won’t be around — it wouldn’t hurt to sign him to a short-term deal and have the opportunity to trade him for potential capital if things go well.”

There are countless hits to be had from Coors’ huge outfield.
Arraez will also be a bright spot for a team that hasn’t had much reason to smile yet.
Colorado hopes to be on the right track. Araz won’t necessarily be there when the turnaround is complete, but he can play a role in the turnaround process.
