As Team Proves, Steelers Looking to Add an Outside Linebacker Work out four times on Wednesday. However, the team will add a different name, with Pittsburgh signing outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon from the Panthers’ practice squad, according to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.
By poaching Moon from the practice squad, the Steelers will have to sign him to their 53-man roster.

Moon should be a familiar name to Steelers fans. He played in 13 games and even started one for Pittsburgh in 2024, totaling nine tackles and 222 special teams snaps. He spent the summer of 2025 with the Steelers, was waived on the bye day, and was drafted by Carolina.
Moon has played in one game with the Panthers and six games on special teams this season.
