Real Madrid legend praises club’s leading striker – “Already said it a while ago”

While Real Madrid’s recent 2-0 win over Sevilla was overshadowed by the way the home fans treated Vinicius, the game also saw Kylian Mbappe extend his goal tally.

With a last-minute penalty to seal the three points, Mbappe has scored 29 goals in all competitions this season, 18 of which came in La Liga.

Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos has heaped praise on Kylian Mbappe after another strong performance against Sevilla.

Sergio Ramos talks Mbappe

Returning to Spain after a spell at Monterrey, Sergio Ramos was once again at the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend to see his two former clubs Sevilla and Real Madrid clash.

After the game, Ramos posted a story on his Instagram profile praising Mbappe’s late penalty.

“Congratulations, my brother. As I just said…first,” Ramos uses photos of the France international to tell his story.

It must be noted that Ramos played alongside Kylian Mbappe during his time at Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish defender stayed with the team for two years before leaving in 2023.

Even at 39, Ramos remains determined to play in the top flight, having recently finished his spell with Mexican side Monterrey.

Although he has yet to find a new club, Ramos is not ready to say goodbye to football and has retained a busy training schedule to stay fit.

Ramos is reportedly ready to return to Real Madrid for one last dance, but the club has rejected the idea.

Therefore, the upcoming January transfer window could be interesting as fans await the next chapter in Sergio Ramos’ long and illustrious career.
