Rams RG Kevin Dotson on crutches after loss to Seahawks

As if the Los Angeles Rams losing to the Seattle Seahawks wasn’t bad enough, they may have also lost one of their best players in the process. Kevin Dotson suffered an ankle injury in the first half and was unable to return, and was replaced at right back by Justin Dedic.

After the 38-37 loss, Dotson was seen on crutches and wearing a walking boot, which is obviously a bad sign for his progress. Sean McVay did not provide an update on his condition after the game, but the fact that he was unable to walk under his own power was concerning.

Following the injury, Dotson struggled to put any pressure on his left leg and received significant help from the training staff before being sent to the locker room.

Dotson is arguably the Rams’ best offensive lineman this season and will reach the All-Pro level in 2025. He’s a standout in pass protection at right guard, but his work in the run game is even more impressive and impactful.

He will be a difficult player for the Rams to replace if he has to miss a game, but he will have some extra time to rest and recover before their next game on Dec. 29 against the Falcons.
