The second half was a tense game. After halftime, North Carolina State University went on a 27-18 spurt and took the lead at 10 minutes and 51 seconds into the game. The Wolfpack extended the lead to 12 points (76-64) with 6:50 left in the game before cooling off. SMU hit a three-pointer in the first minute to make the score 84-81. With 22 seconds left in the game, Pierre Jr. made a layup, chasing the score to 84-83. SMU gave the ball to Boopie (of course) for the final shot, which was blocked by Trey Holloman. A very important victory!
