Paytm Rolls Out Hide Payments Feature to Manage Transaction Visibility: How to Use

One 97 Communications Limited on Tuesday launched a new ‘hidden payment’ feature for the Paytm app. As the name suggests, it allows users to move certain transactions out of the main view. The company says this makes it easier to manage shared devices, handle sensitive purchases, and gain discreet visibility into financial activities. The feature is said to have been developed in response to growing user demand for more granular privacy options.

Hide payment features on Paytm

The company’s new hidden payments feature is a more private and personalized way to manage digital payments, Paytm said in a press release. Transactions marked as hidden are not deleted or changed, but remain in a separate protected section. Paytm claims that such transactions remain completely secure and accessible whenever required.

Hidden transactions can be found in balance and history section in the Paytm app. The company claims that Paytm is the first UPI app to offer such a feature.

How to hide transactions on Paytm

  1. Open the Paytm app and navigate to balance and history tab
  2. Now, swipe left on the transaction you want to hide
  3. Click ‘hide When the option appears on the screen
  4. Click to confirm selection ‘Yes, hidden payment
  5. The payment will now be hidden from your payment history

How to unhide transactions on Paytm

  1. Navigate to balance and history Press Tab again and click the three-dot option in the upper right corner of the screen
  2. Click the three-dot icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select View hidden payments from menu
  3. Now, enter your phone’s PIN or provide the relevant biometric verification. Your hidden payment will appear on the screen
  4. Swipe left on the transaction you want to unhide and tap Unhide. Previously hidden transactions will now be visible in your payment history
