Camden Heide scored a big, big, big score in the first game of the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
With 14.7 seconds left in the game, Hyde hit a three-pointer to help No. 11 Texas lead the Longhorns by 4 points; they upset No. 3 Gonzaga 74-68 and advanced to the Sweet 16. Texas is the sixth team to reach the top four and advance to the Sweet 16 since the NCAA implemented play-in tournaments in 2011.
Texas has won three games in five days. The Longhorns defeated NC State on Tuesday in a game between the last two teams in the 68-team field. That puts Texas in a matchup with No. 6 BYU and potential No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, AJ Dybantsa. The Longhorns took control in the second half despite DiBanza giving up 35 points.
