In less than a week, the team will enter free agency and some offseason questions will be answered. That’s definitely the case for the Tennessee Titans, who enter the offseason needing an infusion of talent into their roster.
One issue that many expect the Titans to address early in free agency is the wide receiver position. Draft analyst Tony Pauline is the latest to weigh in on some receiver rumors coming out of the NFL scouting combine, linking Tennessee to two receivers this offseason.

Are the Titans really interested in Mike Evans?
Buffalo showed significant interest in Evans during the combine last week and will certainly make a move for the All-Pro wide receiver if he hits the free agent market, a story I first reported on at the Senior Bowl. So it was a bit surprising to many that the Bills brought in Moore at this stage of the offseason.
Where does Evans go now? I hear there’s a good chance he’ll return to play with the Buccaneers in 2026, and the Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders are also very interested if the right deal is made. The New England Patriots haven’t shown much interest in Evans.
While there’s no doubt Evans will help the offense, one has to wonder how he could be acquired, not to mention the Titans are in the midst of a rebuild and Evans could be looking for an opportunity with a contender. Nothing is impossible in the NFL, but this time it seems unlikely.
Pierce would be the first domino to fall.
Alec Pierce confirmed yesterday what I first reported at the Senior Bowl – that he’s ready to test the free agency waters. The four-year veteran is a 2022 second-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts and will define the market for the wide receiver position once free agency opens. He’s expected to sign a contract worth $27 million per year (or more).
I reported before the combine that the Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans were the two teams lining up to bid for Pierce. Over the past few hours, I’ve also learned that the New England Patriots are interested in Pierce and are expected to make a big push for the wideout. This makes sense since just yesterday the team waived Stefon Diggs and, as mentioned above, have shown little interest in Mike Evans.
Pierce is a more likely target for the Titans than Evans, though it would likely cost more. Pierce is already considered an explosive deep threat, but he appears to have the skills to take his game to another level in the right system.
