Exeter City have announced that Matt Taylor will return to take charge of the club until the end of the season.
The former defender played for the Greeks before retiring and coached the team from the 2018/19 season until his move to Rotherham United in October 2022.

Exeter, who are in 15th place, hope to replace another manager, Gary Caldwell, who has also left the team, with Taylor set to return before the end of the season.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be back at Exeter City,” Taylor said upon his return. “This club and its supporters have always held a special place in my heart and I spent an amazing ten years here, first as a player and then as a manager.
“The fans make a difference and I’m looking forward to getting to know our players and staff and leading the team out onto the pitch at St James’ Park tonight against Burton Albion.”
The 44-year-old helped the team gain promotion to the First Division during the 2021/22 season after finishing second in the fourth tier during his last spell in charge.
Taylor’s first game of his second spell in charge will take place later tonight when his side take on 17th-placed Burton Albion.
