The latest addition is Brandon Buhr, a deal the Maple Leafs announced on Wednesday. They announced it was a one-year deal, starting next season, and clarified that Buell would join the Toronto Marlies for the remainder of the season.

Bull just finished his college career at Union College in New York State.

Union is a Division I lacrosse school.

The 23-year-old forward has contributed 19 goals and 17 assists (36 points) in 35 games in the league this season.

He previously played in the BCHL with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

Buell actually started his college career at Clarkson University, but he really established himself in the league.

In three seasons, he scored 49 goals.

It’s a nice low-risk move for the Maple Leafs, who don’t have much left to play for this season other than finding someone to rely on for their future plans.

They have brought in new players from the Marlies in recent weeks as they begin their search for new faces following trades and injuries. This unlocks opportunities at the AHL level.

Buell will join the Marlies and immediately begin convincing Toronto that he should be a part of their plans going forward.
