Diogo Dalot 7.5 – Defensively solid and also contributing in attack, at one point starting a great run that almost scored before testing Guglielmo Vicario with a powerful shot in the second half. A brilliant pass from Bruno Fernandes sealed the winner.

Harry Maguire 6.5 – Wins his duel and makes an important intervention to divert Destiny Udogie’s cross, who is looking to finish.

Lisandro Martinez 6.5 – Set the tone from the start, delivering a trademark long pass that almost gave United the chance to break the deadlock inside 40 seconds. Defensively shrewd and made an important interception in the penalty area to stop Solanke’s shot aimed at Lamenz.

Luke Shaw 7 – Similar to Dalot, he took an active role in the attack, especially once the opposition was reduced to 10 men. At one point, he tested Vicario twice in a row and felt he should score.

Casemiro 8 – Another top-notch monitor. It seems that it is unplayable at the moment. He had several shots on goal but they were blocked by the inspired Vicario. Dominated midfield and caused a foul on Romero, which resulted in the Tottenham captain being sent off.

Kobbie Mainoo 7 – A deft flick assisted Brian Mbemo’s opener for Manchester United.

Bruno Fernandes 9 – The engine of Manchester United’s attack, dictating the action on the pitch. He orchestrated chance after chance and even took a few dangerous shots of his own before finally finding the deserved goal and delivering the finishing blow.
