Major WWE NXT Name Reportedly Being Discussed For Imminent Main Roster Call-Up

With a plethora of “WWE NXT” talent competing on the main roster in December, including Saturday Night’s Main Event, several stars have also been officially called up heading into the new year, and a new report suggests another star may be on the way to the main roster. Blake Monroe (ex-Mariah May of AEW) may be heading to “WWE Raw,” according to Fightful Select.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Monroe has been discussed for a main roster call-up in recent weeks, and some on the red brand believe she will eventually show up on Monday night. The outlet also reported that Monroe’s immediate plans could change as soon as this week.

Monroe unexpectedly lost the NXT Women’s North American Championship to Thea Hail on the December 16 episode of NXT, just before the cast took a break from the WWE Performance Center and taped the show over the next few weeks, with Hail’s springboard casket drop reportedly gone awry. Monroe will have a rematch with Hailstone on Tuesday at the New Year’s Evil Contest for gold. Fightful did not report whether Monroe’s changing plans involve the Women’s North American Championship.

Jayvon Evans, Trick Williams and Jordyn Grace have all been teased as main roster additions in recent weeks, with Evans being called a “free agent” and Williams and Grace both appearing on “WWE SmackDown.” Other rumored names who could make the main roster include NXT Champion Oba Femi and Sol Ruca, who face Cody Rhodes and Bayley respectively in Saturday night’s main event. According to a new report from Fightful, more names are expected to be drafted.
