today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mother, Nancy GuthrieMore than two months after she was abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona, she is still missing, and a law enforcement insider just sent a direct message to Savannah and her family.
Thursday, April 2 NewsNation Senior National Correspondent Brian Entin Interviewed a source with knowledge of the investigation into the 84-year-old’s disappearance.

The person remained anonymous and their voice was changed to protect privacy. At Entin’s request, he shared what the Pima County Sheriff’s Department will say to Savannah.
“Just explain to Savannah, just because we have an incompetent leader doesn’t mean we don’t care,” he explained. “We do not want Nancy to come home safe and we do not support her. We fully support her and her family in this matter.”

It’s unclear if the “incompetent leader” is the Sheriff Chris Nanos Or the lead investigator who has reportedly never worked a homicide before. However, Entin’s sources also weighed in on the recent vote of no confidence in Nanos.
“This is not the first time we’ve had a vote of no confidence. So it should be no surprise to him, especially given what’s going on,” the source noted. “So now, not only our local community, the entire state of Arizona, but the entire country is now seeing that we have no confidence in Chris Nanos.”
Nancy was last seen on the evening of January 31 at her home in Tucson’s Catalina Foothills neighborhood. As of this writing, no suspects have been named, although Savannah is offering a $1 million reward.
