Media speculation linking former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to the Atletico Madrid manager’s job was put to an end this weekend.
This comes amid assurances that the Germans are not in active talks with the Met hierarchy.

Iconic tactician Klopp’s name was a prominent one in the Spanish capital earlier this week.
The media have surprisingly speculated that the 58-year-old could replace Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone.
Some media even hinted that negotiations between the two parties have started and they may join forces in the summer.
However, as mentioned above, those in Rojiblanco eager to see Klopp take charge of the club need not get their hopes up.
In an exchange with “Win Win All Sports” (quoted by Fabrizio Romano) this weekend, Klopp’s agent Mark Kosik responded simply to rumors surrounding his client’s name:
“Foolish guess.”
