Hello everyone! We at Athletics Nation are adding a member or two to our writing team, and it could be you! The team has been through a rough patch in recent years, but the light appears to be at the end of the tunnel. The A’s are slowly doing what they do best: building a competitive team from within through smart trades, smart drafts, and hopefully a future stadium they can be proud of. The dark ages are coming to an end, and you could be the next to speak out for your franchise’s bright future.
We hope to hire at least two freelance writers. Maybe more, depending on what kind of response we get. We’re looking for people interested in writing about specific games and breaking news, although you’ll also be asked to contribute during the offseason when there aren’t any games to cover. We may also have opportunities to commission freelance writers to write feature stories as well as minor league coverage. However, match coverage is our number one priority next season. We are looking for freelancers who can submit 2-3 articles per week based on mutually agreed terms of agreement.

*We would like to add that while writing experience is preferred, it is not required. Additionally, we encourage writers of all backgrounds and identities to inquire.
