Brennan Johnson, who arrived from Tottenham Hotspur in a club-record £35m move, will be included in Crystal Palace’s squad against Newcastle on Sunday.
Palace are expected to announce the signing of the Wales forward within 24 hours after Johnson completed a move to London on Friday.

The 24-year-old has attracted interest from Bournemouth, with the Cherries keen to sign a replacement for Manchester City target Antoine Semenho.
However, Johnson was persuaded to move to Selhurst Park following talks with Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner on Thursday.
Johnson’s arrival will break the club’s record transfer fee, surpassing the £27 million paid by the Eagles for Liverpool forward Christian Benteke in 2016.
The striker joined Tottenham from Nottingham Forest in 2023 for £47.5 million and ended a 17-year wait for a trophy with last season’s Europa League success.
But Johnson’s playing time has been limited this season under Tottenham coach Thomas Frank, with the Wales international scoring four goals in 22 games.
