Joe Buck has a secret heading into Saturday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers.

The ESPN play-by-play man called the NFC West contest the deciding game as usual, but revealed after the game that he did so two days after injuring his eye. He credited his makeup artist, Kathleen Vybihal, for hiding the injury from cameras.

Buck, along with color commentator and Miami Dolphins consultant Troy Aikman, thought it was a fairly one-sided game, with the Seahawks beating the Niners 13-3. It was the Niners’ lowest total under head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Seattle defeated San Francisco by a total score of 361-173. In addition to winning the division title, the Seahawks also clinched the NFC’s No. 1 seed, while the Niners will receive the No. 5 or No. 6 seed depending on whether the Los Angeles Rams win on Sunday.
