LeBron James was selected to the Western Conference reserve team and was selected to the NBA All-Star Game for a record 22 consecutive times.
The 41-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star was not selected as a starter in January, but he was one of seven reserve players selected by NBA coaches from the East and West divisions.

James missed the team’s first 14 games of the 2025-26 season due to sciatica. He has played 31 times this season and averaged 21.9 points per game.
“My goal is not to go into the season, miss the first 14 games and say, ‘OK, I can be an All-Star,'” James told reporters after the Lakers’ 112-100 victory over the New York Knicks.
“I just want to get back to playing at a high level that I know I’m capable of once I get over the rust of missing preseason, training camp and summer workouts, which I’ve never done in my entire career.
“So to be honest, I wasn’t thinking about the All-Star Game.”

James was selected for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, but missed due to injury.
Kevin Durant of the Houston Rockets, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns and Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves were also selected for the Western Conference reserves.
This season’s All-Star Game has been redesigned to feature two teams of American players and one team of international players.
They will compete in a round-robin format of four 12-minute games. The top two teams will then face off in the championship game.
