Instagram introduced the ability to add music to Stories back in 2018, but the feature was limited to certain countries and not available to everyone. The company subsequently expanded the feature in India in 2019 with a new slate of soundtracks, including in Punjabi and Bollywood. Now, after three years of waiting, users in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East and North Africa can add music to their Instagram and Facebook Stories.
