IDF troops rescued an Israeli civilian from the Palestinian village of Hizma who was trapped due to a military blockade imposed by stone-throwing on Highway 60.
On Thursday night, the Israel Defense Forces rescued an Israeli civilian from the Palestinian village of Hizma, north of Jerusalem, Ynet reported.
Reports indicate that the civilian entered the village as locals threw stones at an Israeli vehicle traveling on Highway 60, but was trapped inside after the military imposed a blockade.
As of this writing, the military has not commented on the incident.
Authorities rescue Israeli woman from Jericho, Area A
While Hizma is located in Area C of East Jerusalem, several Israelis have been rescued from Area A in the past few weeks after accidentally or, in some incidents, intentionally entering Palestinian Authority-controlled areas.
On Wednesday night, authorities rescued a 22-year-old Israeli woman in Jericho, Area A of the West Bank. marif the report said.

The woman was subsequently handed over to the Israel Defense Forces for transport out of Area A, and the case was handed over to the Israeli police for investigation.
On Sunday, three Jewish Israelis were also rescued after entering Jericho following a navigation error.
On Sunday, two more Israelis entered Area A under the influence of alcohol.
The two were spotted entering a garage in Tulkarem and reported the matter to the Civil Affairs Bureau. They were subsequently handed over to the Israel Defense Forces for transport out of the West Bank, and the incident was handed over to the Israeli police for further investigation.
December 2025 also saw at least six incidents of Israelis entering Area A.
