Hyundai Motor India on Wednesday said it has partnered with Shell India to install 60 kW fast chargers at 36 dealerships in the country.
The automaker said in a statement that it has signed a memorandum of agreement with Shell India Market in this regard.
The strategic partnership aims to expand the scale of battery electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the country.
“Such strategic partnerships are critical to accelerate customer adoption of electric vehicles to achieve the country’s carbon neutrality target,” said Unsoo Kim, Managing Director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India.
Hyundai currently has a network of 72 electric vehicle dealers in 45 cities.
Sanjay Varkey, director, Shell India, said the strategic partnership with Hyundai aims to improve India’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure by providing easy access and dynamic availability to deliver a safe, reliable and seamless charging experience.
