Our newsroom is packed with people who mostly shop online and it’s safe to say that many of you reading this article also buy a lot from sites like Flipkart and Amazon. But sometimes you get a substandard product for one reason or another. If you buy something online and need to return it, the process is very simple, as long as you do it immediately.
We’ve already explained the process to Amazon, but if you’re a Flipkart shopper, it’s just as easy. Here’s what you need to do:
1. Go to your Flipkart order page.
2. You will see a list of all your recent orders on this page. You have one month from the date of delivery to return your item, so don’t take too long. Find the item you want to return and click return The button is on the right.
3. On the next page you must select the reason for return – this could be missing items from the shipment, wrong item, quality issue or defective product. Select a specific question from the next drop-down menu and explain it in the comment box.
4. In the next drop-down menu, the only option you can select is Request a New Work. When finished, click Request a return Confirm return button in the lower right corner.
5. That’s it – Flipkart will then contact you to confirm if you need to return the item and pick it up from the address you ordered from. This may take several days. If you need to return an item from a different address, be sure to inform the customer service person you call.
6. Flipkart will then send someone to collect the item and send a replacement. You will receive email updates throughout the process and receive a receipt when you pick up your book, which you should keep until your replacement book arrives.
Have you ever received the wrong item from an online seller? What did you buy and what did you get? Tell us about your experience in the comments.
