Bottom side Heidenheim drew 3-3 with fourth-placed Stuttgart in a tight Bundesliga match on Sunday.
Chris Führich gave Stuttgart the lead in the fifth minute, but the home side equalized in the 20th minute after Sirloid Conteh’s pass deflected into the path of Eren Dinkci and fired into the top corner.

After some chaotic scenes, Heidenheim took the lead.
Elmedin Demirovic appeared to have restored Stuttgart’s lead, but his goal was ruled out when Maximilian Mittelstadt fouled Dinkic inside the penalty area.
After video playback, the referee not only ruled that Stuttgart’s goal was invalid, but also awarded Heidenheim a penalty kick, which was made by Alijon Ibrahimovic in the 34th minute.
However, Stuttgart were awarded a penalty of their own after Conte brought down Pilar El Canus in the penalty area, and Mittelstadt made amends for their previous mistake by firing the ball into the net in the 44th minute.
Mittelstadt almost scored twice but hit the post in the 53rd minute, while Demirovic was ruled out for another goal in the 75th minute.

Heidenheim thought they had won when Alexander Nübel denied Ibrahimovic, but Conte scored on the rebound in the 82nd minute.
But Stuttgart equalized again thanks to Deniz Wendav’s shot in the 88th.
Both sides had ample chances to find the winning goal in stoppage time, but were ultimately forced to tie the game.
“It was a tight game with many chances for both sides and we had one or two chances. We could have created more chances today,” Mittelstadt told broadcaster DAZN.
Demirovic said it was “very painful” to have two goals ruled out.
“It’s unbelievable, I don’t know what to say, it’s painful. It’s a joke that computers are trusted with so many things and people can’t make decisions for themselves,” he added.

As for Heidenheim, Dinkic said the team can be inspired by the performance in the next game.
“We can solve this problem and we scored three goals. Of course, we conceded three goals as well, but that gives us courage for the next few weeks,” he said.
Gentle Goal against former club helps Freiburg won 2-1
Matthias Ginter scored a goal against his old club Monchengladbach to help his current team Freiburg win 2-1.
Ginter did not celebrate after breaking the deadlock in the 38th minute, volleying home after an inadvertent long pass from Mönchengladbach’s Kevin Dix.
In the 74th minute, Gladbach doubled their lead after losing the ball in midfield. Maximilian Eggstein’s low pass was palmed by goalkeeper Moritz Nicholas into the path of Igor Matanovic, who fired the ball into an empty net.

Gladbach had a goal ruled out in the 83rd minute and still pulled one back two minutes later through Haris Tabarovic but could not equalize despite late pressure.
“This defeat was really painful. In the final period we did everything we could to equalize – we did well. But overall it was not enough,” Tabarovic said.
Freiburg are seventh, six points away from a European spot, while Gladbach are 14th, just two points away from the relegation zone.
