Taylee Chirrick scored a game-high 26 points and Montana forced 29 turnovers in a 72-56 victory over Hawaii today in the Maui Classic at Seabury Hall Gym in Makawao, Maui.
Addison Harris scored 20 points on her last five shots for the Bobcats (7-4), who are ranked No. 17 in CollegeInsider.com’s Major League Top 25.

Keiara Curtis came off the bench to lead Hawaii in scoring with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting, and Bailey Flavell added 11 points.
UH (6-6) went 1-1 in the tournament and finished nonleague play with a 6-4 record. The other two losses came in the first two Big West games.
Hawaii’s 29 turnovers were just one shy of its season high.
UH trailed by 19 points in the third quarter and trailed by 5 points in the fourth quarter, 48-43.
Hawaii had two offensive chances to further close the deficit, but turned the ball over both times. The Bobcats responded with a 24-7 run to put the game away.
The team will have a week off on Christmas Day before getting back to work in the gym in preparation for their next game on New Year’s Day at Banco Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center against UC Riverside.
